Position Overview

The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) team is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive successful delivery of Autodesk's Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA) outcomes.

In this role, you will drive complex, cross-functional programs that move emerging AI capabilities from research into production. You will partner closely with research, engineering, architecture, data, security, legal, and product leadership so that new AI capabilities are delivered responsibly, predictably, and at scale. This role requires strong technical depth including AI fluency, excellent execution discipline, and the ability to operate effectively across organizations to align priorities, manage risk, and drive outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of GAIA program outcomes, from experimentation through production readiness and adoption
• Drive the business outcomes realized through delivery of AI/ML capabilities, partnering with engineering teams and leadership across product integration, platform adoption, and operational scalability
• Build and maintain integrated delivery plans across research and engineering teams, ensuring clear milestones, dependencies, and risk management
• Drive delivery forecasting, execution tracking, and transparent reporting across program lifecycles
• Orchestrate delivery across research, engineering, security, legal, product, and platform teams, following changes downstream to everything they touch
• Partner with executive stakeholders, architects, and product leaders to shape strategy, sequencing, and execution plans
• Provide clear, actionable status reporting at both executive and team levels, including risks, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies
• Anticipate dependencies and risks rather than discover them, across data, model readiness, and delivery timelines
• Support teams with impediment removal, exception handling, and dependency resolution
• Use approved AI tools and automation responsibly to create visibility, repeatability, and a single source of truth across delivery, while validating outputs and maintaining human judgment
• Champion Agile and Lean delivery practices, supporting self-organizing teams operating in complex environments
• Use evidence and validated learning to adapt plans, improving delivery effectiveness, collaboration, and program outcomes
• Act as a change agent, helping teams navigate evolving requirements, research uncertainty, and platform priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience delivering complex, cross-team initiatives in fast-paced technical environments
• 3+ years in a TPM, Product Manager, Software Architect, or similar role
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems, including APIs and services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and the software development lifecycle, including how AI-assisted tools are used in delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI/ML, Generative AI, data platform, or research-to-production programs
• Familiarity with AI systems such as model training and evaluation, inference and serving, or retrieval and vector databases
• Understanding of Responsible AI, data governance, privacy, and compliance concepts
• Passion for operational excellence, process improvement, and scalable delivery practices

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $95,000 and $138,600. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
