ABOUT THE ROLE

The objective of the Equipment & Maintenance Coordinator is to support the reliability, maintenance, and operational performance of equipment across assigned operations. The role coordinates maintenance activities, equipment records, work orders, parts, vendors, and related administrative processes to ensure equipment is maintained safely, efficiently, and effectively.

The Equipment & Maintenance Coordinator works closely with Plant Managers, Operations Managers, Maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to identify equipment needs, coordinate solutions, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement and consistent maintenance practices. The role also supports equipment purchasing, transfers, disposals, and asset management activities.

The Equipment & Maintenance Coordinator builds strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers and supports the sharing and implementation of equipment maintenance best practices across operations.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Coordinate FCA assets and other Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) through effective partnership with business leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Drive improved outcomes across Western Canada (WCAN) fleets and leases through accurate, timely, and effective coordination with business partners, banks, and leasing companies.
  • Support improved asset utilization across WCAN by coordinating equipment requirements, allocation, transfers, and related asset management activities.
  • Coordinate Equipment Super User groups across the various WCAN markets to support consistent processes, knowledge sharing, and implementation of best practices.
  • Drive and maintain high-quality equipment and asset data across applicable systems to support accurate reporting, decision-making, and operational improvements.
  • Support equipment maintenance reviews and the implementation of consistent maintenance practices and best practices across operations.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers to effectively coordinate equipment, fleet, maintenance, and related business requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational performance through accurate reporting, effective coordination, and implementation of regional best practices.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Post-secondary education

Field of Study Preferred: Business Administration, Operations, Maintenance, Equipment Management, or a related field is preferred; or equivalent professional experience.

Required Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in coordinating equipment, maintenance, fleet, asset management, or related operational activities. Experience working in an aggregates operation is considered an asset.

Required Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of aggregate manufacturing processes and equipment, as well as equipment maintenance, fleet coordination, asset management, and related administrative processes. Experience with SAP or other equipment, asset, maintenance, or enterprise management systems is considered an asset.

Travel Requirements: 20%

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of local, provincial, and government regulations is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of mining industry practices is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, senior management, vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple activities across different locations and business functions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of best practices.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
