Your Impact

Create meaningful social value by building trusted relationships with Indigenous Nations, local communities, educational organizations, and stakeholders. You will help advance positive community relationships by fostering meaningful engagement, strengthening community capacity, and ensuring local perspectives, priorities, and concerns inform organizational planning and decision-making. This role supports the successful delivery of Newmont’s community engagement, community investment, and social performance programs, while contributing to responsible and sustainable mining practices that create shared value for communities and the business.

As Part of the Team, You Will

• Build and maintain positive relationships with community and Indigenous partners.
• Lead community engagement programs, events, outreach activities, and stakeholder meetings and career fairs.
• Promote education, scholarships, training opportunities, and career pathways for students, youth, and community members.
• Assist with community investment programs, stakeholder communications, and the monitoring and reporting of social performance programs and initiatives.
• Participate in community meetings, cultural events, and outreach activities to foster meaningful engagement and strengthen relationships with Indigenous Nations and community partners, including youth, Elders, educators, community leaders, and local organizations.
• Support workforce development, recruitment, and employment readiness initiatives.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

• High school diploma with post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset.
• Experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, workforce development, or a related area is an asset.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments and with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and willingness to travel.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Your Work Environment

This community-based role involves regular travel throughout the region, with frequent engagement in Indigenous communities, schools, community events, and stakeholder meetings. You will work independently in the field while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $85,400.00 - $113,900.00 + 15% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
