We are looking for a Senior System Performance Engineer to join our Thermal Management team within Function & Software Defined Vehicles. In this role, you will lead vehicle troubleshooting and performance analysis activities, identifying root causes and driving effective technical solutions, with a strong focus on cab climate performance and system parameterization across a wide range of truck applications. You will contribute to the definition, development, and delivery of functional, system, and product requirements throughout the product lifecycle, while planning, coordinating, and executing verification and validation activities.

As a key member of the team, you will drive system performance initiatives, evaluate and recommend technical solutions, manage cab climate calibration and requirements, and assess the impact of new requirements and engineering changes. You will play a critical role in ensuring system quality, technical maturity, and compliance with functional and non-functional requirements before release, contributing to the delivery of robust, high-quality thermal management solutions aligned with product strategies and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

This position requires strong troubleshooting and calibration expertise, technical leadership, and the ability to manage complex developments in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Lead vehicle troubleshooting and root cause analysis to develop robust and effective technical solutions.
• Drive cab climate system performance, calibration, and parameterization across diverse truck applications.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain thermal control functions and related system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Define and manage functional, system, and product requirements in alignment with customer and business needs.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute verification and validation activities, including test definition, result analysis, and requirement validation.
• Support vehicle and system testing to ensure successful integration, issue resolution, and product readiness.
• Assess the impact of new requirements and engineering changes across functional and software domains.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and calibration engineers to deliver integrated thermal management solutions.
• Lead technical reviews, maintain system documentation, and prepare technical reports.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, engineering best practices, and technical knowledge sharing.
• Ensure system quality, technical maturity, and compliance with functional and non-functional requirements before release.

Relevant Experience

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Automotive Cab Climate and/or Thermal Management systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, fault tracing, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with embedded software development and/or calibration.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and C programming.
• Fluent communication skills in both written and verbal English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Structured, proactive, and collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for continuous learning and technical excellence.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience with Cab Climate and/or Thermal Management systems.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and standards, such as CAN, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE; and tools such as ATI Vision and Vector CANalyzer.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (SAFe).
• Commercial driver's license (Category: C, D, or E).
