SENIOR/AUDIT MANAGER – INSURANCE – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR203

About this opportunity

Our client, a well-established professional services firm in Bermuda, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with insurance industry experience and ideally prior exposure to the Bermuda market to build on their career while enjoying everything the island has to offer, including low taxes.

Main responsibilities:

• Oversee audit engagements end-to-end, working directly with client teams and managing timelines, risk, and reporting
• Review and challenge financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards
• Support the development of junior staff, sharing technical knowledge and building their confidence on engagements
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the year

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification
• A recognized professional accounting designation, such as ACA, ACCA, CA, or CPA
• Significant audit experience within a reputable accounting or professional services environment, with recent time spent operating as a Manager and direct involvement with insurance clients
• Strong technical grounding in US GAAP/GAAS and/or IFRS
• Track record of leading engagement teams, including guiding, developing, and quality-checking the output of less experienced staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, people-first approach to leadership
• Proficient across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Comfortable managing multiple client engagements at once, keeping teams on track against both internal and client deadlines
• Skilled at building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Flexible and willing to put in additional hours when engagements require it
