Job Description

The Global Patching & Vulnerability Management Specialist is responsible for governing and coordinating the enterprise patching and vulnerability management program. The role focuses on risk remediation, operational governance, stakeholder coordination, service management compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement across global IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate global patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Partner with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Cloud and Application teams to prioritize and track remediation activities.
• Govern patching calendars, maintenance windows, remediation campaigns and vulnerability exception processes.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL Change, Incident, Problem, Release and Configuration Management processes.
• Coordinate stakeholders during patching events and act as escalation point for critical remediation initiatives.
• Drive lifecycle management activities including legacy technology remediation, end-of-support risk management and asset retirement.
• Ensure accurate reporting, KPI tracking, audit readiness and executive communications.
• Promote automation, standardization and continual service improvement.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Build trusted relationships with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Application and Business teams. Provide governance reporting, risk updates, remediation status and executive-level communications.

Technology Environment

Vulnerability Management Platforms (i.e.Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7 or similar), Microsoft Defender, ServiceNow, Azure, hybrid infrastructure environments, patch management solutions (i.e.Tanium, Ivanti, etc.), CMDB and automation platforms.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 5+ years in IT Operations, Service Management, Cyber Security, Infrastructure Support or Vulnerability Management.
• Experience coordinating enterprise patching and remediation programs.
• Experience working within global, complex and business-critical IT environments.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, risk remediation, governance and compliance processes.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related discipline.
• ITIL Foundation preferred.
• Security, Service Management or Cloud certifications are advantageous.
