Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA to manage and optimize DB2 z/OS and DB2 LUW environments, ensuring database performance, availability, security and stability.

Responsibilities:

Administer and optimize DB2 z/OS and LUW databases
Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning and query optimization
Manage capacity, storage and disaster recovery
Automate monitoring and operational tasks using REXX, COBOL, JCL or Python
Support incident, problem, change and release management
Maintain technical documentation and mentor junior colleagues
Participate in on-call rotations and approximately 8 release weekends per year

Requirements:

Strong experience with DB2 z/OS and DB2 LUW
Good knowledge of COBOL, REXX, JCL and SQL
Experience with performance tuning, query optimization and capacity management
Familiarity with ITIL processes
Strong communication, documentation and mentoring skills
Fluent English
