Job Description

Company Description

Are you passionate about performance nutrition and ready to make a measurable impact in elite cycling? Join our international performance team and help riders optimise their training adaptation, race performance, recovery, health and long-term development through evidence-based, rider-centred nutrition support.

Based in Salzburg, Austria, you’ll join an international performance environment and work closely with some of the most important stakeholders in elite cycling. This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the nutrition domain, establish trusted relationships with riders and contribute to developing a benchmark performance nutrition programme.

Job Description

INDIVIDUAL NUTRITION STRATEGIES

You’ll design, monitor and continuously adapt individual nutrition strategies based on performance goals, athlete-monitoring data and rider feedback. Your focus will include fuelling, hydration, recovery, body composition, gastrointestinal tolerance, training adaptation, energy availability, health and supplementation.

RACE AND TRAINING CAMP SUPPORT

You’ll independently manage nutrition delivery at assigned WorldTour races and training camps, including Grand Tours, altitude camps and challenging environmental conditions. From preparation and execution to follow-up, you’ll ensure that riders receive effective and practical nutrition support throughout every stage.

FOOD SERVICE INTEGRATION

Working closely with performance chefs and mobile kitchen staff, you’ll translate riders’ nutritional requirements and energy demands into consistent, high-quality food delivery. You’ll ensure that scientific recommendations become practical, accessible and race-ready solutions.

ON-BIKE FUELLING AND HYDRATION

You’ll manage individual on-bike fuelling and hydration strategies across different race formats, training demands and environmental conditions. Using monitoring data and rider feedback, you’ll continuously evaluate and adjust plans to support optimal performance.

GOVERNANCE, TESTING AND MONITORING

You’ll ensure that sports nutrition products and supplements comply with internal protocols, anti-doping risk-management standards and quality-assurance processes. You’ll also coordinate nutrition-related testing, including sweat and hydration assessments, FatMax testing and other field-based evaluations.

EDUCATION AND COLLABORATION

As an integrated member of the performance team, you’ll collaborate closely with riders, coaches, medical staff, sports directors, logistics, performance chefs and the wider performance environment. You’ll deliver practical nutrition education, identify potential concerns early and contribute to the continuous development of the nutrition programme across the WorldTour and selected U23 and U19 development squads.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in sports nutrition, sports dietetics or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is preferred

  • Strong understanding of endurance physiology and nutritional periodisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of fuelling, hydration, recovery, gastrointestinal tolerance, energy availability, body composition and supplementation
  • ISAK Level 1 accreditation as a minimum
  • Knowledge of supplement governance, anti-doping risk management and quality-assurance processes
  • Experience with nutrition-management and athlete-monitoring systems.
  • Ability to translate scientific evidence and athlete requirements into clear, practical and race-ready solutions
  • Proactive, accountable and rider-centred approach, combined with strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure

The position involves regular international travel to races and training camps.
