About the Role

Lead our warehouse operations and make an impact

AkzoNobel is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Wetherill Park Warehouse, supporting the efficient distribution and sale of our products across the local market. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee warehouse operations, stock control, customer service, HSE compliance and team coordination, while driving continuous improvements in efficiency and operational performance.

What you will do

Reporting to the relevant site/operations leadership, you will be responsible for:

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Wetherill Park Warehouse, ensuring safe, efficient and timely service.
• Plan warehouse activities and allocate tasks to ensure maximum efficiency and achievement of stock control targets.
• Lead and support warehouse team members, including developing their skills and capabilities.
• Maintain accurate stock control, including cycle counts, annual stocktake and SLOB (slow-moving and obsolete stock) management.
• Coordinate the receipt, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch of products.
• Tint paint and load vehicles when required, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Manage warehouse layout and support planning for future product range expansion.
• Ensure effective processing of warehouse documentation, data entry and administration.
• Support purchasing, dispatch, invoicing and other warehouse administration activities.
• Provide back-up support to the Warehouse Administrator when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and liaise effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with Sales and Warehouse teams to ensure strong communication and smooth customer fulfilment.
• Facilitate monthly site safety meetings, conduct regular HSE audits and ensure compliance with company HSE standards.
• Utilise incident reporting and root cause analysis processes to identify and address safety and operational issues.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including improvements to warehouse and paint tinting processes.
• Become proficient in SAP and other systems supporting Customer Service, Logistics, Planning and Supply functions.
• Work collaboratively with Procurement, IT, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to support effective business processes.
• Operate and maintain forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety requirements.

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution supervisory role.
• Strong people leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong customer service mindset and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and strong Microsoft Office and email skills.
• Sound understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and stock control.
• A demonstrated commitment to HSE, process compliance and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work hands-on and support operational activities when required.
• A current Forklift Licence.
• Flexibility, initiative and a practical approach to solving operational challenges.
