As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with product owners and fellow technical leaders to document changes and steer strategic initiatives. Your expertise will be key in making critical design and architectural decisions, mentoring engineers to produce well-tested, maintainable code, and enhancing solution quality through industry best practices.

You’ll join a Sydney-based engineering squad, focused on driving continuous improvement in mobile engineering practices, while shaping the platform architecture and roadmap for both mobile and backend systems.

Working in a collaborative, product-aligned environment, you’ll take ownership across the full engineering lifecycle and help the team deliver high-quality customer outcomes.

In this role, you will:

• Design and deliver high-quality native iOS solutions using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Help shape mobile architecture, engineering standards and the technical roadmap.
• Make considered design and architectural decisions that balance customer experience, security, reliability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers and technical leaders to translate customer needs into practical solutions.
• Build well-tested, observable and maintainable software using automated testing and continuous delivery practices.
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services and cloud-based technology.
• Contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from design and development through to production operation.
• Mentor engineers, strengthen team capability and promote effective engineering practices.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

You’re an experienced iOS engineer who combines strong hands-on development capability with sound technical judgement. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and are comfortable influencing engineering decisions while supporting the growth of other engineers.

Experience in several of the following will set you up for success:

• Deep native iOS development experience using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, including MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture and modular design.
• Experience with dependency injection, object-oriented design, SOLID principles and established software design patterns.
• Delivery of secure and reliable mobile applications supported by automated testing, continuous delivery and production observability.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and working with cloud services such as AWS.
• Ability to lead technical decisions, constructively challenge existing approaches and build support for strategic engineering direction.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving capability, quality and engineering practices across teams.
• Exposure to backend development, including .NET, C# or microservices, regulated technology environments, AI or machine learning would be valuable.
