Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, policies, and procedures. Working closely with employees, managers, and external providers, you will play a key role in maintaining payroll integrity and providing expert advice on payroll-related matters.

In this role, you will:

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, taxation, superannuation, and company policies.
• Manage payroll-related transactions including new starters, terminations, leave processing, salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, and employee benefits.
• Provide expert advice and support to employees, managers, and People & Culture stakeholders on payroll matters and legislative requirements.
• Reconcile payroll data and maintain accurate records, ensuring payroll information is complete, secure, and audit-ready.
• Prepare and review payroll reporting, statutory submissions, and month-end payroll reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve complex payroll queries, discrepancies, and system issues in a timely manner.
• Support payroll audits and ensure ongoing compliance with employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline payroll processes, enhance system functionality, and improve service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, People & Culture, and external providers to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Assist with payroll projects, system implementations, testing, and process enhancements as required.
