NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Forward Deployment Engineer to partner with enterprise customers across Australia and New Zealand, designing and delivering innovative AI solutions.

The Senior Forward Deployment Engineer acts as a trusted technical advisor and hands-on engineer, working directly with customer stakeholders to turn business challenges into production-ready AI solutions. This role combines Generative AI, cloud engineering, enterprise integrations, and customer-facing consulting to accelerate AI adoption and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable AI and cloud solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy Generative AI applications using Gemini, Vertex AI, and Google Cloud services.
• Develop AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
• Build integrations between AI solutions and enterprise data, APIs, business applications, and cloud platforms.
• Deliver cloud-native applications leveraging modern engineering practices, containers, and microservices.
• Establish observability, monitoring, governance, and operational best practices for AI workloads.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, proof-of-concepts, and customer demonstrations.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience delivering customer-facing technology solutions within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience building Generative AI solutions using LLMs such as Gemini, Claude, GPT, or similar models.
• Knowledge of AI agents, RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Software engineering experience with Python and API-based integrations.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of enterprise security, governance, and operational requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications in Cloud Architecture, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning.
• Experience with Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, and related Google Cloud services.
• Experience working in consulting, professional services, solution engineering, or forward deployment engineering roles.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments including AWS and Azure.
