About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and people-focused HR & Workers’ Compensation Coordinator to join our HR Advisory team based in Cremorne VIC.

With workers’ compensation as a key focus, you will support team members throughout the claims journey and help coordinate safe, sustainable and meaningful recovery at work outcomes. You will also provide coordination support across broader HR activities and People initiatives.

Working closely with injured team members, leaders, insurers, medical and allied health providers, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure claims are managed with empathy, accuracy and care. You will maintain accurate claims information, support legislative compliance and identify opportunities to continuously improve our injury management practices.

What you’ll be doing:

• Workers’ compensation and recovery at work
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims from initial notification through to recovery and claim closure.
• Provide a supportive and responsive point of contact for injured team members throughout the claims process.
• Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring tailored recovery-at-work plans.
• Collaborate with leaders, insurers, medical practitioners, allied health providers and other stakeholders to support positive recovery outcomes.
• Triage workplace injury and serious incident notifications received through Zendesk, ensuring matters are assessed and escalated appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential claim records, case notes and supporting documentation.
• Monitor claim progress, agreed actions and key legislative timeframes.
• Support leaders to understand their responsibilities and confidently manage recovery-at-work arrangements.
• Assist with claims reporting and identify emerging trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare for claim reviews and case conferences and follow up agreed actions.
• Partner with the broader People and Safety teams to promote a proactive culture of care, recovery and workplace safety.

HR and People support

Be part of the HR Advisory Team which is the first point of HR support for the Retail Teams at Accent

• Provide coordination and administrative support across People projects and initiatives.
• Assist with maintaining accurate employee data, documentation and reporting.
• Respond to general team member and leader enquiries, escalating matters where required.
• Assist with performance management
• Support broader People and culture activities as required.

What we’re looking for:

You may already have experience in workers’ compensation, injury management, insurance, healthcare administration or HR.

Comprehensive training will be provided to help you develop your knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation, claims management and recovery at work requirements.

You’ll also bring:
