CommBank’s Chief Investment Office (CIO) is looking for an Executive Portfolio Manager to join our global investment team responsible for identifying and executing investment opportunities across foreign exchange and developed market interest rates.

In this senior role, you'll help shape and execute global macro investment strategies, combining macroeconomic insight, market expertise and disciplined portfolio management to drive portfolio performance.

The Chief Investment Office sits within Group Treasury and manages the Group's non-traded market risks, including interest rate and foreign exchange exposures, as well as the investment of liquid assets and shareholders' funds.

Within CIO, the Tactical Portfolios & Strategy team identifies and executes investment opportunities across global financial markets. The team combines macroeconomic research, market expertise and disciplined portfolio management to develop investment strategies across asset classes, helping enhance the risk-adjusted performance of CIO's portfolios.

In this role:

• You will play a key role in developing and executing global macro investment strategies, with a particular focus on foreign exchange and developed market rates.
• You may also;
• Identify and express macro investment opportunities across global markets
• Translate macroeconomic and monetary policy developments into actionable investment strategies
• Construct and actively manage portfolios to generate sustainable risk-adjusted returns
• Evaluate portfolio performance, risk exposures and drivers of return
• Contribute to investment debate, idea generation and portfolio strategy across the broader investment team
• Coach and support the development of other investment professionals

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Deep experience in global macro trading or active portfolio management
• Significant expertise across foreign exchange or developed market interest rates
• A proven track record of generating alpha through disciplined risk taking and portfolio management
• Strong understanding of macroeconomics, central bank policy and global financial markets
• Sophisticated portfolio construction and risk management capability
• Experience translating investment views into trade expression, position sizing and portfolio decisions
• The ability to clearly articulate and challenge investment ideas within a collaborative environment
• Experience gained within hedge funds, institutional asset managers, proprietary trading environments or global markets businesses will be highly regarded.
