About The Role

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service? Join our team as a Billing Officer on a permanent part-time basis where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while providing support to patients, doctors, health funds, and insurers. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you'll manage invoicing, account enquiries, collections, and billing-related communications, helping to deliver a seamless financial experience and contributing to the efficient operation of our healthcare services. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of the Accounts Receivable and Billing functions for National Ramsay Hospitals.

This is this is an onsite based role at BHW (Patient Accounts Management - WA) - 28 Walters Drive, Osbourne Park, Australia, 6017.

The Billing Hub role centralises and streamlines billing operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments across multiple departments.

This role will also involve, but is not limited to:

• Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with company policies
• Communicating with health funds and Private insurers, Medicare and DVA
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Managing customer account queries
• Maintain accurate records of billing and collection activities
• Communicating with doctors and patients regarding billing
• Managing refunds and debt collection for allocated accounts.

About You

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Prior experience in a medical practice or hospital billing setting, dealing with Private Health Funds
• Confidence and experience with medical billing systems such as Meditech and Genie
• Confidence in all Microsoft applications, Excell, Outlook, Teams
• Strong general knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology

Desirable criteria:

• Knowledge of Meditech patients’ management system or other medical billing software
• Experience using Genie and Meditech or other patient administration software.
