Koniag Technology Solutions, Inc a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a Secret security clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. The position is onsite with possibly hybrid availability. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Government Services is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a deep understanding of cloud solutions to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of project management discipline and hands-on technical knowledge across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and/or GCP. This individual will serve as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The ability to obtain or maintain an active Secret clearance is required to support our government customer.

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud-focused technology projects while serving as a key liaison between development teams, stakeholders, and leadership. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of cloud infrastructure and services and can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Lead end-to-end project management for cloud migration, modernization, and development initiatives across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP environments.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and technical leads.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk registers to ensure visibility across all project phases.
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings to drive alignment and accountability.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and blockers, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Serve as a technical advisor, leveraging cloud knowledge to contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and security personnel to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships as needed.
• Ensure projects adhere to organizational standards, security requirements, and government compliance frameworks where applicable.
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts and help establish best practices for cloud project delivery.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing technically complex cloud-focused projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects involving one or more major cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
• Active Secret clearance or higher (Top Secret preferred).

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and architectures across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Experience managing projects within Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid project management frameworks.
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, risk logs, and status reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating across technical disciplines including development, infrastructure, security, and operations.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and governance best practices.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience working in a federal government IT environment or supporting government clients.
• Knowledge of FISMA, FedRAMP, or other government security and compliance frameworks.
• SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification or experience working within a SAFe environment.
• Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
