Nordstrom Technology Finance | Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

NOTE: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work onsite at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 4 days/week in order to be considered for this position.

This Senior Manager role sits at the center of Technology Finance's next chapter. With Oracle Fusion now live, this is a rare opportunity to reimagine how Technology forecasts, closes, and reports — moving to modern, ERP- and AI-powered ways of working — while also playing a critical role in some of the team's most consequential strategic work: Long-Term Plan (LTP) development, annual budgeting and business case development, and the executive-level reporting and analysis that shapes how senior Technology and Finance leaders make decisions. You'll lead a talented group of finance professionals who serve as Technology Finance's financial systems and reporting experts, partner closely with the Sr. Director of Technology Finance on strategy and execution, and have real latitude to shape process, tools, and standards — with high visibility to senior Finance and Technology leadership.

A day in the life....

• Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Technology Finance to set strategy and priorities for the function, with high visibility to Technology and Finance executive leadership.
• Play a critical supporting role in Technology's most senior strategic forums — including Long-Term Plan (LTP) development, annual budget planning, and executive-level MBR reporting.
• Own and shape the Technology forecasting process end-to-end — cadence, modeling approach, and a standardized workback process that gives FBPs a clear, repeatable playbook for gathering and aligning inputs with Tech teams.
• Lead the modernization of Technology Finance reporting, moving from spreadsheet-based files to scalable, ERP-driven reporting built on Oracle Fusion — with real ownership over how that transformation gets designed and rolled out.
• Build, enhance, and automate forecasting models across Labor, Non-Labor, Capital, and Depreciation, bringing modern modeling practices to a fast-growing, increasingly complex spend base.
• Own monthly close and MBR reporting for Technology, and champion AI (Claude preferred) as a core part of how the team forecasts, reports, and closes the books.
• Build, coach, and grow a team of subject-matter experts (Cloud/SaaS, Hardware/Depreciation, Labor, Other Non-Labor) — developing their technical depth and independent ownership, while serving as their connective tissue to broader Finance and Technology priorities.
• Bring or build deep expertise across Oracle (including SmartView) and Workday, help the team decide where a dashboard (Looker), Excel, or another tool is the best fit, and partner with Accounting, FP&A, Sourcing, and Technology leaders on governance and standards as part of the Elevate/Panther rollout.

You own this if you have....

• Proven track record leading, coaching, and developing a team of individual contributors, with the presence and judgment to operate as a trusted advisor to senior Finance and Technology leadership
• Experience navigating ambiguity and building compelling, executive-ready narratives from complex financial and operational data — e.g., long-range planning, annual budgeting, or business case development
• 8+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with demonstrated growth in scope and complexity
• Deep hands-on experience with Oracle (including SmartView) and Workday required; Coupa and Alteryx strongly preferred; Anaplan preferred; TalentBook, Aha!, or ServiceNow a plus
• Experience leading reporting or finance transformation — building scalable, systems-driven processes
• Experience building driver-based financial models that are scalable and flexible
• Comfort using AI tools (Claude preferred) to enhance financial workflows; dashboarding experience (Looker) a plus
• Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred); superior MS Excel abilities and strong written/verbal communication skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$131,500.00 - $210,500.00 Annual
