The GTMC organization is charged with delivering best-in-class capabilities to bring speed and increased value to commercial operations. It will refine priorities across products, markets, and the pipeline through dynamic resources allocation and efficiencies. Silos that existed between business units as well as duplicative and overlapping resources will be replaced with standardized processes and tools. Operating with a One Sanofi mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, GTMC will accelerate and improve key capabilities to do more with less and facilitate the best-informed strategic decision making across the organization.

The GTMC organization aims to:

• Centralize Go-to-Market operational tasks across GBUs
• Standardize best in class capabilities, strengthen global support, and implement a better vertical reporting structure within GTMC from local to global
• Define ways of working, bringing clarity on the interactions across GBUs, Digital, and Commercial executional support teams from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Future-Readiness Leadership (40%)

• Serve as strategic partner and thought leader across Commercial, Business Units, Digital, Medical, and People & Culture driving alignment on the future vision for insights and analytics capabilities and challenging existing paradigms on how analytics, data science, forecasting, and market research teams work, learn, and engage.
• Broker cross-functional collaboration to identify emerging opportunities, surface unmet needs, and co-create innovative solutions that advance analytical effectiveness and prepare the organization for AI-enabled, data-driven decision-making.
• Challenge the status quo by bringing forward industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging AI/technology capabilities facilitating strategic conversations that push stakeholders to rethink traditional approaches to insights generation, forecasting, and market research.
• Champion cultural transformation toward future-ready ways of working, building organizational appetite for experimentation, continuous learning, and adoption of next-generation analytical tools and methodologies.
• Drive thought leadership on AI enablement and analytics innovation representing Insights & Analytics needs in global transformation programs, influencing enterprise digital roadmaps, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership to secure sponsorship and investment.
• Establish strategic partnerships with Digital, AI solution providers, technology vendors, and implementation partners to ensure Sanofi remains at the forefront of analytics and data science innovation.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in AI for analytics, data science, forecasting, and market research translating external insights into actionable recommendations and strategic initiatives.

AI Enablement & Capability Innovation (Strategic Focus)

• Identify and champion the piloting and scaling of AI-powered tools and solutions that enhance analytical productivity, insights generation, forecast accuracy, data management and decision-making (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI tools, advanced modeling, automated insights).
• Partner with Digital and business stakeholders to evaluate emerging AI capabilities and translate them into practical, compliant applications that drive measurable business outcomes across analytics, data science, forecasting, and market research.
• Design and deliver future-readiness initiatives that prepare Insights & Analytics teams for AI-augmented ways of working from foundational awareness and literacy to advanced application and proficiency.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Business Intelligence teams to deploy AI-enhanced analytics, insights, and automation that improve forecasting accuracy and commercial decision-making.
• Drive enterprise data and cultural transformation toward AI-enabled, data-driven insights generation in strong collaboration with Digital Global teams and business unit stakeholders.
• Establish governance frameworks and guardrails to ensure responsible, compliant, and ethical use of AI within analytics and market research activities.
• Help shape change management and adoption strategies to drive team readiness, proficiency, and sustained engagement with AI-enabled tools and ways of working.

Program & Initiative Leadership (60%)

• Lead the design, prioritization, and execution of strategic capability and transformation initiatives that advance the Insights & Analytics North America roadmap, spanning Analytics, Data Science, Forecasting, Data Management and Market Research.
• Own program governance, timelines, and risk mitigation across concurrent initiatives, from opportunity identification through scaled deployment ensuring measurable outcomes and sustainable adoption across the Insights & Analytics organization.
• Manage interdependencies and align on roadmaps with cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Digital, People & Culture, Hub, US, and Global teams translating business strategy into actionable, capability-building programs.
• Develop business cases and ROI frameworks to prioritize capability and technology investments, balancing quick wins with long-term capability building to maximize business impact and demonstrate value.
• Serve as change management lead for major capability rollouts partnering with the Change Management function to drive adoption, minimize disruption, and embed sustainable new ways of working.
• Manage strategic vendor and technology partners across the analytics technology ecosystem, ensuring delivery excellence and value realization.
• Coordinate with Global Insights & Analytics teams to leverage global investments, align on standards, and share best practices across markets.

About You

Education Requirements

BA/BS degree and a scientific degree (either MS/PhD) from with a concentration in quantitative fields or advanced certification in modern data science/machine learning is required.

Skills and Competencies

Minimum of 12+ years of experience in a significant Data / Analytics / Data Science / AI role with advance knowledge of analytical, data science, or AI techniques. Strong grasp and proven success in implementation of AI models in the pharmaceutical realm. 5 years management experience required. Proven leadership acumen, with well-developed communication & presentation skills. Excellent organizational awareness and stakeholder navigational skills. Self-direction in ambiguous environments. Strong strategic thinking ability, with deep understanding of the life-sciences industry. Experience with key pharmaceutical data sources and analytics platforms, including: Claude, OpenAI, or other open weight models National-level sales / demand data (e.g., IQVIA NPA & NSP) Longitudinal HCP & patient-level claims (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, etc.) Specialty pharmacy / patient services data (e.g., Capgemini / LiquidHub) CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce, etc.) Media platform reporting tools (e.g., CM360 / SA360, Meta Business Manager, etc.) Site analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics & Adobe Analytics) Customer Data Platforms (e.g. Segment) Pseudonymous analytic environment (e.g. Liveramp) Data management & analysis platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, etc.) Data visualization / business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Relevant therapeutic area experience in pharmaceutical analytics preferred

Proficiency in programming languages, preferably SQL and Python preferred.
