Sr advanced engineering support specialist

As a Sr. Advanced Engineering Support Specialist here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge navigation and sensor solutions for a variety of applications. Your valuable contributions will ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance designs. You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Minneapolis, MN location Hybrid work schedule. External hires will begin with 90 days on site before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will be critical in design and sustainment processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable navigation and sensor products. Your responsibilities will include support to configuration management personnel, the preparation, verification and tracking of engineering change notices, the checking of engineering drawings and 3D models against redlines to ensure proper implementation, and other engineering support activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Copyedit and format technical reports and procedures in MS Word
• Perform document validation checks against engineering drawings and 3D models
• Retrieve, review, and cross-reference configuration data and released documents in Siemens Teamcenter
• Verify document revisions align with current configuration baselines
• Identify and flag discrepancies between documentation and released engineering data
• Recommend improvements to document control processes, templates, and formatting standards
• Collaborate independently with engineers, CM analysts, and quality personnel to resolve documentation issues
• Mentor or guide junior staff on documentation standards and validation checks, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience with quality standards and regulatory requirements, project planning, and engineering process improvements
• 5+ years of experience in a configuration management, document control, or technical writing role
• 2+ years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter (or similar) and applied configuration management principles
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, including styles, templates, track changes, and advanced formatting tools
• 1+ years of experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D models
• Proven attention to detail with a track record of catching discrepancies in technical documentation
• Excellent written communication and technical editing skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent documentation packages

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $104K - $130K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
