Koniag Technology Solutions, Inc a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Engineer with a Secret security clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. The position is onsite with possibly hybrid availability. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Government Services is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to join a dynamic development team supporting both established projects and building solutions from the ground up. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills, and experience to solve complex real-world problems. The ability to obtain or maintain an active Secret clearance is required to support our government customer.

The SharePoint Developer will design, develop, and maintain SharePoint-based solutions to meet business and technical requirements. The SharePoint Developer will work closely with system and business analysts, project managers, and end users to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable SharePoint applications and integrations.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and deploy SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint On-Premises solutions in alignment with business requirements and organizational standards.
• Build and customize SharePoint sites, pages, web parts, and application components using modern development frameworks and best practices.
• Develop custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, Power Automate, and other relevant technologies.
• Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to reconcile new business requirements with legacy system integrations.
• Operate within an Agile software development environment while satisfying project stage gates and delivery milestones.
• Perform day-to-day administration and maintenance of SharePoint development and test environments.
• Interact daily with system and business analysts to clarify and refine requirements.
• Receive guidance from a lead architect on design and implementation tasks and incorporate feedback on completed work, including items requiring correction or improvement.
• Contribute to technical designs, including detailed data flows, information architecture, and data schemas.
• Conduct unit testing, system testing, and debugging to ensure solution quality and stability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation describing solutions, configurations, and processes.
• Support end users by troubleshooting SharePoint issues, inspecting system logs, and delivering timely resolutions.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of SharePoint development experience, including SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint On-Premises environments.
• Demonstrated experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and modern SharePoint development practices.
• Active Secret clearance or higher (Top Secret preferred).

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical IT stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team environment under the direction of a technical lead.
• Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development, including custom web parts and extensions.
• Experience developing with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript within the SharePoint ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite integration, including Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Experience designing and managing SharePoint site collections, content types, lists, libraries, and permissions.
• Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for SharePoint administration and automation tasks.
• Experience with SharePoint REST APIs and Microsoft Graph API for data access and integration.
• Knowledge of SharePoint governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for SharePoint solution deployment.
• Ability to conduct unit and system testing, debugging, and quality assurance activities.
• Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum.
• Striving towards coding best practices and documentation standards.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Experience working in a federal government IT environment.
• Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer Associate or equivalent Microsoft certification.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations using SAML and OAuth2.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting within the SharePoint environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based infrastructure supporting SharePoint workloads.
• Experience with SharePoint migration tools and processes, including migrations from On-Premises to SharePoint Online.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508 / WCAG) as they apply to SharePoint solutions.
