The pay range is $58,100.00 - $104,600.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Marketing Associate – Frequency Marketing

As a Marketing Associate, you will play an important role in bringing Target’s marketing strategies to life across the Guest Experience. You will support the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for a growing portfolio of categories, brands, and new item launches, helping translate strategy into coordinated, launch-ready activation.

In this role, you will work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, and Guest Experience Cross Functional Partners to support connected guest experiences across channels and touchpoints. You will help manage the details and dependencies required to move work from strategy through execution, while building strong relationships and ensuring teams remain aligned throughout the process.

You will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset to a fast-moving business. You will also look for opportunities to improve how the team works—leveraging technology, AI, automation, and standardized processes to simplify execution, reduce manual work, and create greater capacity for the team.

Core Responsibilities

• Support integrated marketing activation across the Guest Experience: Partner with Marketing Managers and Senior Managers to translate category, brand, partner, and launch strategies into integrated, launch-ready activation plans across relevant guest touchpoints.
• Manage activation execution and readiness: Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned marketing initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, cross-functional coordination, and key dependencies to ensure work is aligned, on track, and ready for launch.
• Expand go-to-market capacity: Own defined activation workstreams and launches, creating capacity for the broader team to support a larger and growing portfolio of brands, new item launches, and business opportunities.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships: Collaborate closely with Marketing & Digital cross-functional teams and Merchandising partners to maintain alignment, solve executional challenges, and deliver connected marketing experiences.
• Support high-quality plan development: Bring together inputs from cross-functional partners, identify gaps and dependencies, and help ensure marketing plans are actionable, integrated, and grounded in business and guest objectives.
• Scale execution through technology and process: Leverage AI, automation, tools, and standardized ways of working to streamline execution and readiness, reduce manual work, and increase team capacity.
• Support measurement and optimization: Partner with Marketing Managers and cross-functional teams to track initiative performance, develop recaps, capture learnings, and identify opportunities to improve future activation.
• Drive operational excellence: Maintain a high level of attention to detail across multiple concurrent initiatives, proactively surface risks or issues, and help drive work forward in a fast-paced and evolving business.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in marketing, with experience supporting marketing programs, campaigns, launches, or integrated marketing initiatives.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions.
• Ability to synthesize information and translate strategy into clear, actionable plans and next steps.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating changing priorities and ambiguity.
• Curious and solutions-oriented, with an interest in identifying better, simpler, and more scalable ways of working.
• Comfort with technology and an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and emerging tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Experience working with Merchandising, agency, media, creative, or other cross-functional partners is a plus.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
