The CU Denver Business School seeks individuals with demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning and working environment. We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.
The CU Denver Business School seeks to establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for Executive Programs from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50% FTE) and will be made semester-by-semester, as teaching needs arise.
This posting does not necessarily reflect a current, open position. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through May 2027, at which point all applications will be cleared from the pool. Applicants will be welcome to apply to future pools after that date.
Lecturers selected from this pool will teach classes in Executive Programs at the CU Denver Business School (Executive MBA, Executive MBA-Aviation, or future executive programs). Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes, preparing for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans, assessing student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes, and adhering to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.).
Classes taught will be at the graduate level and will generally be limited to three credit hours. Lecturers teaching these classes will instruct in either one or multiple teaching modalities (in-person, online-remote, or hybrid).
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
This position may be performed on site, and will require the ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.
This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment, requiring the ability to work effectively in a remote setting. This includes maintaining a dedicated workspace free of excessive noise or distractions, reliable internet connectivity, and the ability to participate in virtual meetings for extended periods. Employees must be able to independently manage time, remain stationary for prolonged computer-based work, and transport necessary equipment (such as a laptop and peripherals) between their remote work location and the office as needed.
The University of Colorado Denver strives to maintain a safe and productive educational, clinical, research and employment environment. All prospective employees and current employees must, therefore, consent to and pass background checks prior to any final appointment/employment.
Please be advised that this position is not eligible now or in the future for visa sponsorship.
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $17,500 per 3-credit graduate course. Compensation for non-3-credit appointments will be set at a pro-rated amount and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
As a part-time teaching role, this position is not eligible for benefits. Information on University benefits programs, including eligibility, is located at Employee Services.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Applications for this pooled position will be accepted on a rolling basis for up to six (6) months from the posting date [DATE]. Qualified applicants may be reviewed and approved for hire at any point during this period. Early application is encouraged, as the pool may close before the six‑month window if all openings are filled.
