Our Fortune 500 client is seeking an IT Security Engineer IV.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer Automation Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain automated vulnerability ingestion and enrichment pipelines, aggregating data from diverse sources (ASM, EXM, Endpoint/CrowdStrike, and continuous Watchlists).
  • Automate Triage & Routing: Develop automated gate-routing and risk-scoring mechanisms to systematically eliminate manual triage toil and accelerate defect prioritization.
  • Operationalize Threat Data: Partner with Threat Intelligence and Offensive Security to integrate adversary-awareness metrics (KEV, EPSS) into automated ticketing and residual risk ledgers.
  • Agentic Remediation Support: Assist in engineering automated remediation workflows (such as auto-PR generation and guardrail enforcement) to scale defect resolution across builder teams.
  • Defect Framework Enforcement: Programmatically enforce the Security Defect Framework, ensuring all automated tickets carry accurate priority, automated attribution, and clear definitions of done without requiring manual review.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Analyze vulnerability volume trends (e.g., top ACP policy violations) and engineer programmatic prevention strategies to drive down inbound defect volume.

Requirement:

  • Software Engineering: High proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages specifically for building robust automation, RESTful API integrations, and data manipulation scripts.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of modern Vulnerability & Defect Management, Attack Surface Management (ASM), and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) in enterprise environments.
  • Risk Contextualization: Strong working knowledge of exploitability frameworks (CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV) and how to apply them programmatically to asset inventories.
  • Data Aggregation: Experience building systems that correlate and sanitize data from disparate security platforms into a unified risk model.
  • Execution & Autonomy: A strong "builder" mindset with a proven track record of converting manual operational workflows into scalable code.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience building security automation.
