Facilities and Physical Space Planner

The Opportunity:

As a physical space manager, you understand that relationship-building and keen attention to detail is crucial when overseeing the life cycle of a project. As a seasoned facilities professional at Booz Allen, you can use your client engagement expertise to impact projects that will provide expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to the customer and project team for a physical space planning and management program of services. We need someone like you who is eager to oversee complex projects that develop and maintain comprehensive physical space management capabilities for analysis at multiple locations.

As a facilities professional on our team, you’ll lead challenging projects for sensitive missions from beginning to end. Using computer-related facilities management software and your problem-solving skills, you’ll work with a team to develop creative solutions to create and update implementation plans that monitor desk or office vacancies, equipment allocation, seating optimization, and emergency support needs. In this role, you’ll work in collaboration and coordination with government partners to assist with crafting space management policies, procedures, and standards.

What You’ll Work On:

• Lead analyses and solution development for physical space planning and management.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of an analysis physical space program and help establish corporate governance forums.
• Integrate data to accurately depict the analysis footprint and dynamically visualize space-related activities.
• Design and maintain a Tableau dashboard that provides weekly data updates on space requirements, real-time footprint, costs, risks, and challenges.
• Perform complex activities related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization for physical space projects.

You Have:

• 11+ years of experience in facilities management or physical space planning
• Experience using ARCHIBUS computer facilities management software to monitor and track desk or office vacancies, and computer equipment, optimize seating arrangements, and anticipate special needs for contingencies
• Experience with data analysis and using Tableau to build and maintain impactful dashboard visualizations
• Knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) and the geospatial intelligence mission
• Ability to provide recommendations that influence or inform decision-making, and prepare or review project or facilities estimates and site proposals for client cost and feasibility studies or reviews
• Ability to coordinate activities performed by specialists or physical space planning staff to identify, assess, and communicate risks that could impede timely physical space plan execution, seat allocation, or project completion
• Ability to develop plans and programs, account for facility or individual requirements, and accurately communicate physical space needs and requirements to multiple stakeholders
• Ability to conduct research or gap analysis such as space utilization studies and forecasts, and facilitate the corporate delivery of responsive physical space solutions that address stakeholder needs
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
