The Division of Advancement and Alumni Engagement utilizes resources, technology, and business for the purpose of constituent engagement, donor research and solicitation, and stewardship throughout Emory University and Health Systems. We are currently seeking a Director of Advancement and Alumni Services.
Technology and Innovation (T&I) is the technological engine of Advancement and Alumni Engagement (AAE), ensuring that technology investments, data infrastructure, and innovation capabilities are all aligned to and in service of divisional goals. The Client Experience team serve as the tactical bridge between business needs and operational solutions. They interact with other AAE departments and heavy AAE technology users to provide seamless, intuitive, and supportive experiences across all divisional departments. This role leads the Client Experience team, to ensure AAE teams have a dedicated advocate who understands their needs and can translate them into valuable solutions. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President, Technology and Innovation.
In addition to the duties outlined above, the Director may be required to:
A bachelor's degree and five years of experience in administration, fundraising, alumni engagement, fundraising campaigns, or related experience.
Successful candidates will have extensive experience providing operational support to multiple large-scale fundraising/engagement programs. They will be skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships, have advanced knowledge strategically utilizing Advancement technology, and be comfortable working in an evolving environment. Successful candidates will have extensive experience managing projects, budgets, and financial reports, working with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, mass email applications, database and project management software, and CRM systems. Project Management Certification. Skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Proficiency in fundraising reporting and counting. Strong database technology and project management skills. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, the ability to work with ambiguity, and navigate a complex work environment. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience leading teams, working independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Prior experience in administrative management, advancement, fundraising, campaign, alumni engagement, non-profit, or a university setting. Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
