Description

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for crafting and owning valuable solutions to business problems. This role will create innovative software, adhere to best practices, and ensure the sustainability of enterprise-level software.

This is a hybrid in-office/remote role to support our Sousse-based team. Our office policy allows teammates to work remote 3 days/week, with an expectation of 2 days/week in-office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development and enhancement of new or existing software, aligning with company goals and enterprise architecture.
• Actively participate in maintaining Harvest’s architectural standards by providing input on system design and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Write high-quality, testable code following modern design patterns and principles.
• Demonstrate the principle of leaving code better than you found it, focusing on maintainability and clarity for team members.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members as needed, assisting with problem-solving and sharing best practices.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum frameworks, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and delivery.
• Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues, applying analytical skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards for version control, release management, testing, and documentation.
• Lead improvements to the team's development processes and tools.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
