We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a Dev Platforms team within an Architecture, Infrastructure & Platform Engineering area. The team owns the internal tools and platforms that support the software development lifecycle. Its goals are to increase team productivity, standardize practices and reduce friction all the way to production. GitHub Enterprise Cloud is the core platform, supported by a self-service platform for GitHub repositories that provides pipelines, access control and documentation from day one. The team is growing and working on several fronts in parallel, including AI in the development lifecycle as a strategic priority.

Tasks

• Contribute to the internal developer platform, ensuring reliable, secure and easy-to-use tools, pipelines and processes.
• Evolve the self-service repository platform built on GitHub Actions.
• Migrate pipelines from Jenkins and Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions.
• Support engineering performance measurement with DORA Metrics.
• Drive the adoption of development support tools, including security and quality tooling.
• Integrate AI assistants and agents into engineering workflows and pipelines.
• Provide ongoing support to development teams.
• Work autonomously on well-defined problems and contribute to the team’s technical decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering.
• Experience automating CI/CD in an enterprise context, including large-scale CI/CD migrations.
• AI applied to software development: using and integrating AI assistants and agents in engineering workflows and pipelines, following security and governance best practices (data protection, human review).
• GitHub Enterprise Cloud administration: EMU, rulesets, auditing.
• Git/GitHub: branching strategies, PRs, branch protection, CODEOWNERS, permissions.
• REST APIs and GitHub API (REST/GraphQL).
• GitHub Actions: reusable workflows, composite actions, matrices, caching, hosted and self-hosted runners, secrets and environments.
• Jenkins (Jenkinsfile/Groovy) and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Bash and Python (or Node.js/TypeScript, Go) for automation and tooling.
• Linux (preferably RHEL-based) and Docker/Podman.
• Pipeline security and quality/security tools such as SonarQube, Corgea, Trivy, Dependabot, CodeQL and SBOM.
• Platform mindset: you see development teams as your customers.
• Autonomy, ownership and clear written and verbal communication.
• Critical thinking: understanding the “why” behind solutions and proposing well-founded alternatives.
• Collaboration, knowledge sharing and a drive to automate repetitive work.
• Ability to manage multiple fronts, balancing project work and reactive support.

• Backstage or Internal Developer Platform concepts.
• DORA Metrics and dashboards (Grafana, Power BI).
• Infrastructure as Code: solid knowledge of Terraform or equivalent.
• Kubernetes and cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).
