Your accounting career. Your next opportunity. Our renewable energy future.
Location: Kawerau or Gisborne | Hybrid working considered
Eastland Generation is a rapidly growing renewable energy developer and operator, with a portfolio of geothermal, hydro and solar plants on the East Coast of the North Island. We have a strong pipeline of new projects, with further geothermal and solar plants planned. Behind every generation plant is a portfolio of valuable assets, major investments and financial decisions that help shape our future.
We're looking for someone to join our finance team and play an important role in making it all happen. Whether you're growing your accounting career or bring years of experience, we're open to what you could bring. We'll tailor the scope of the role to reflect the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Reporting to our Financial Controller, you'll get involved in meaningful, varied accounting work that goes well beyond the numbers on a spreadsheet. Your responsibilities will include:
You'll work alongside people across finance, projects and operations, gaining an understanding of how the business works and how your contribution makes a difference.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and being part of a team. You'll bring sound accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, confidence working with Excel and a practical, solutions-focused approach. Just as importantly, you'll be someone who communicates well, builds positive working relationships and takes pride in producing quality work.
You’ll join a friendly, motivated team that cares about contributing to a more sustainable Aotearoa. We offer a competitive salary and an exceptional range of employee benefits, including:
We also recognise that flexibility matters. This role can be based in either Kawerau or Gisborne, with hybrid working arrangements considered for the right candidate. While there's flexibility in how the role is structured, regular time at our Kawerau site will be important to stay connected with the wider team.
At Eastland Generation, we know great people bring different skills, experiences and perspectives. We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and has the opportunity to thrive. We're proud to be part of WING (Women in Geothermal), supporting greater representation and opportunities for women in our industry.
Don't tick every box? Don't let that stop you. If this opportunity interests you and you believe you have something to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.
