Job Description

Are you an analytical HBO or WO student with an interest in business development, logistics, and strategic issues? During this internship, you will conduct a market and competition analysis, build a financial business case, and provide a substantiated go/no-go advice to Renewi. What Will You Do?

At Renewi, we are continuously looking for new opportunities to serve our customers better and give valuable waste streams a new life. During this internship, you will investigate whether Renewi should invest in a collection service for niche and mono streams, such as tennis balls, sports materials, polystyrene, strap bands, and sticker backings. You will conduct a market and competition analysis, investigate customer needs, and map opportunities and risks. Additionally, you will develop an operational concept and build a financial business case to assess the feasibility of this service. The end result of your research will be a substantiated go/no-go advice for the organization.

As an Intern:

• You are pursuing an HBO or WO degree, for example in Business Administration, Business Development, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or Business Analytics;
• Independent, entrepreneurial, and critical;
• Comfortable in conversations with internal and external stakeholders;
• Proven strong in building and calculating business cases;
• Analytically strong and skilled with Excel and PowerPoint;
• Able to translate market data, customer insights, and operational input into concrete scenarios and recommendations.

Where Will You Work?

You will be part of the Growth Marketing team at Renewi. During your internship, you will closely collaborate with colleagues from Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance. This will give you a good view of the organization and allow you to connect different disciplines. You will have plenty of space to conduct independent research while also relying on guidance from experienced experts within Renewi.

Of course, you will receive a suitable internship allowance of €500 gross per month based on 40 hours per week.
