Job Description

Purpose of the Job

As a trusted member of the team, you will support Directors, Managers, and Administrators in delivering exceptional service to clients. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing complex financial statements and management accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting frameworks. In addition, you will play an active role in reviewing work, sharing knowledge, and coaching junior colleagues, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Main Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting services within agreed deadlines. Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, and accounting records, delivering accurate and timely results.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing responsive support and maintaining excellent service throughout the engagement.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, bank and investment reconciliations, and other accounting schedules for a range of client structures.
• Support and coach junior team members by sharing your knowledge, providing feedback, and helping them grow in their roles.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by offering guidance, technical support, and assistance whenever needed.
• Work closely with Managers and Assistant Managers to deliver client work, resolve technical matters, and achieve team objectives.
• Liaise with auditors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of audits.
• Ensure working papers, documentation, and client records are maintained to a high standard and in line with Ocorian procedures.
• Assist with the planning and monitoring of budgets to support the efficient delivery of client services.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, or client concerns, working collaboratively to find effective solutions.
• Contribute to process improvements, team projects, and initiatives that enhance the client and employee experience.
• Provide accounting expertise to clients across multiple jurisdictions within the Ocorian Group.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and discretion at all times, safeguarding the confidentiality of client, employee, and company information.

Qualifications

ACCA/ACA fully qualified and/or having first degree in accounting field or qualified by virtue of relevant experience in Finance industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

4-6 years of experience preparing client accounts within financial services, accounting, or audit.

Exposure to Real Estate and/or Private Equity structures.

Experience in Real Estate accounting is advantageous.

Working knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.

Experience with EFront and Value Financials is desirable.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting and developing others.
