About the Client

Our client is a payment services provider offering online payment solutions to businesses internationally. Its work includes merchant onboarding and ongoing customer due diligence.

Role Overview

Take ownership of complex KYC/KYB reviews and help shape risk-based decisions on merchant relationships. You will investigate higher-risk cases, assess the evidence behind corporate structures, and work closely with the MLRO to reach clear, documented conclusions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review KYC/KYB files prepared by onboarding specialists for completeness, accuracy, and supporting evidence.
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk merchants, analyse ownership structures across jurisdictions, and identify ultimate beneficial owners.
  • Assess source of funds and source of wealth documentation.
  • Perform in-depth sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening.
  • Evaluate corporate client risk, including processing volumes, chargeback exposure, and high-risk business models.
  • Prepare structured conclusions and recommendations for the MLRO, escalating cases when needed.
  • Work with onboarding colleagues to close gaps in client files and improve due diligence quality.
  • Recommend restrictions or termination of client relationships when risks cannot be adequately mitigated.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on AML, KYC/KYB, and EDD experience in payments or banking.
  • Experience with merchant acquiring and high-risk merchants is a strong advantage.
  • Practical experience reviewing corporate clients and independently analysing complex or higher-risk cases.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF requirements, EU sanctions regimes, and UBO identification.
  • Based in Lithuania and available to work hybrid from the Vilnius office.
  • Languages: English C1
  • Experience in fintech

Key Soft Skills

  • Critical assessment of evidence, with the ability to spot red flags and reach reasoned, documented conclusions.
  • Ability to write clear compliance reports.
  • A proactive approach, sound judgement, and ownership of your work.

What We Offer

A senior specialist role with ownership of complex due diligence cases. Close collaboration with the MLRO and an international team. Opportunities for professional development in AML and compliance. Hybrid working in Vilnius. Compensation based on experience and expertise.
