About the Practice

We are a modern, well-established, and progressive large general practice dedicated to providing patient-centered, high-quality healthcare to our local community.

Our clinic is supported by an excellent team, including experienced practice nurses, dedicated administrative staff, and practice management. We offer a friendly, collegial working environment with strong clinical governance, streamlined processes, and state-of-the-art facilities designed to minimize non-clinical burdens on our doctors.

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused General Practitioner to join our dynamic clinical team on a part-time basis. This role offers a fantastic work-life balance, structured across 3 working days per week, comprising 2 clinical sessions per day (4 sessions in total per week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care to patients across all age groups.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and secure electronic patient medical records.
  • Manage clinical paperwork, test results, and specialist referrals efficiently within standard session hours.
  • Collaborate closely with our in-house practice nursing team and administrative staff.
  • Participate in practice clinical meetings and uphold high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical governance.
  • Comply with Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) professional competence requirements.

Compensation & Package

Base Salary: €44,000 per annum (for 4 sessions / 2 days per week).

Medical Indemnity: 100% paid/covered by the practice.

Annual Leave: Generous pro-rata paid annual leave allowance plus bank holidays.

Supportive Culture: Mentorship, peer review, and a supportive team structure.

Requirements

  • IMC Specialist Registration: Current, active registration on the Specialist Division of the Register for General Practice with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) is strictly mandatory.
  • Specialist qualification in General Practice (MICGP, CCT, or recognized equivalent).
  • Full rights to work in Ireland.
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Irish GP practice software (e.g., Socrates, HealthOne) is an advantage.
