Enterprise Controls Assurance (EC&A) is seeking a Lead Analyst to join our 1st Line Transaction Testing function. In this role, you will help establish and mature a sustainable, risk-based transaction testing program that supports the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Bank's regulatory and risk reporting.

About the Team:

Collaborates closely with Regulatory Reporting, Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Compliance, and business operations teams to validate transactions, resolve exceptions, strengthen internal controls, and ensure accurate and compliant reporting. Key Deliverables

• Analyze large, complex datasets using SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools to support the 1LOD Transaction Testing function.
• Identify data anomalies, trends, and potential data quality concerns through risk-based analysis and investigative review techniques.
• Perform adherence reviews to validate that financial transactions are accurately represented in regulatory and risk reporting.
• Research and understand end-to-end data lineage, business logic, and reporting methodologies used to compile regulatory reports.
• Develop meaningful insights and communicate findings, root causes, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders in regulatory reporting, finance, technology, and risk management.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported testing reports and workpapers in accordance with Enterprise Controls & Assurance standards.
• Develop expertise in the Bank's products, transaction lifecycle, data structures, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Stay informed of regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging best practices related to data governance, regulatory reporting, and risk management.
• Demonstrate ownership, critical thinking, and professional skepticism while independently managing assignments and contributing to team objectives.

Skills and Qualification

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years of experience, in Banking or Financial Services performing analytical reviews, audit testing, regulatory reporting, compliance reviews, loan file reviews, or related disciplines.

• Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify patterns, investigate exceptions, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting platforms such as Axiom is preferred.
• Experience performing data profiling, data quality reviews, reconciliation activities, or transaction-level analysis.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting (FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, FR 2052a) and exposure to banking products such as loans, deposits, and securities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and navigate ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, risk management, and internal control concepts.
