Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Responsible for resolving outstanding balances and addressing inquiries from both internal/external customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal and external customers to research and resolve outstanding issues in order to collect payment, process adjustments, or process credits and write-offs as applicable.
• Research customer payment exceptions and take appropriate actions to resolve. Review account details on customer accounts to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and excellence in customer care.
• Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts. Initiate credits and adjustments to customer accounts within company policy limits.
• Manage assigned credit and collection portfolio to reduce past dues, achieve cash targets, and improve AR quality. Collaborate with peers, divisional sales teams, and customer service, sales operations to resolve billing issues and mitigate risk.
• Assist team with difficult accounts and escalations, by researching and responding to member issues, complaints and escalated calls.
• Summarize and record information and status of collection efforts to notify sales and or the customer of the success of delinquent accounts per corporate policy.
• Responsible for ensuring all past due accounts receive communications in accordance with current collection policy. Coordinate collection efforts across teams to collect on past due balances.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiating with customers and stakeholders through frequent phone-based interactions.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

Experience:

3 - 5 years collections experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Lawson and other related accounting systems.

Other:

Bilingual (English/Spanish).
