We are currently seeking for ambitious team players to become part of our Data Protection Team within our Technology & Transformation department in Thessaloniki.

About Your Team

Our Data Protection team, part of Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation (T&T) practice, works closely with clients to protect sensitive and business-critical information across their technology environments. Through a collaborative approach, we design and implement effective data protection solutions, strengthen security controls, and help organizations manage data-related risks while supporting regulatory compliance and secure digital transformation.

About Your Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will help clients design, implement, and enhance technical solutions that protect sensitive data across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging your expertise to deliver value-added insights.

You will work hands-on with data protection technologies, assess existing security controls, identify vulnerabilities and gaps, and translate business and regulatory requirements into effective technical solutions. Through close collaboration with client IT and security teams, you will drive solution implementation, integrate data protection platforms, and strengthen clients’ overall data security capabilities while taking ownership of project deliverables and workstreams.

Your Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing data protection frameworks within the clients’ environment.
• Coordinate communication across different stakeholder teams (data architects, legal department, security specialists and technology owners) to embed data protection principles into applications, platforms, databases, cloud environments and other technology solutions.
• Acting as an SME for data protection queries driven by the client, demonstrating strong knowledge of the EU regulatory landscape on data (e.g. GDPR).
• Leading project workstreams and client engagements, managing deliverables, coordinating team members, and supporting senior colleagues in building trusted client relationships.

Our Requirements

Key Qualifications

• Academic background (BSc/MSc) related to Information Technology, Computer and Data Science, Business Informatics. We also welcome graduates with a business background, who have majors in Information Systems Management or any other IT related major.
• English (fluently spoken and written)
• 3+ years of relevant working experience
• Solid expertise in Data Privacy and GDPR, Data Protection solutions (e.g. DLP, CASB, Data Discovery and Data Masking, Data Encryption and Key Management), Data Protection Assessment and Benchmarks
• Familiarity with Data Governance Platforms (Microsoft Purview, OneTrust, Delphix)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• A structured and proactive approach to managing priorities, project deliverables, and client expectations.
• Data analysis skills (e.g. MS Access, MS Excel)
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Bonus Qualifications

• Fluency in Italian (spoken and written)
• Relevant Data Privacy/Protection/AI Governance certifications (CIPT, CDPSE, AIGP)
• Other security/IT Governance certifications: CISA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CISM
• Experience coordinating teams or leading project workstreams.
