Description
As a UX Designer, you’ll help define, design and deliver frictionless, useful experiences that help our members manage their money and look after what matters to them in life. You will work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary delivery teams of designers, product owners, developers and delivery leads, and with other Nationwide departments and stakeholders, to create experiences and services that have a positive impact on our members, colleagues and business. This role sits within our Digital Product and Design team, helping create exceptional digital journeys and services for our customers and members. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 15-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our London office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here.
Whilst this location is where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role. If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

All deliverables will need to meet or exceed the department’s quality standards and support Nationwide’s regulatory and compliance obligations. You’ll help identify opportunities and shape solutions by using your UX design skills to create and deliver experiences and services that are engaging and meet the needs of those that interact with them. We’ll need you to attend and contribute to workshops and interviews with members, colleagues, stakeholders and other subject matter experts, and present your work to peers and internal audiences.
