35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Leveraged Finance

Our Leveraged Finance practice sits within the Banking and Loan Finance group in London. The practice advises both lenders and borrowers (including financial sponsors) on the financing of domestic and cross-border acquisitions, particularly leveraged acquisitions and is one of the leading City firms advising on these types of deals in the mid-market. Typical transactions would take the form of private equity sponsored management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions and public bids as well as refinancings and recapitalisations. The team regularly acts for direct lending funds as well as banks and has a growing sponsor side practice. We also now have high yield bond capability in the team in London.

Key Responsibilities

Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services. All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program.

The paralegal's main duty is to support the leveraged finance team on a wide range of transactions. Duties will include:

• Supporting the production of documentation based on precedent forms
• Assisting with signings and undertaking post-completion tasks
• Assisting with the drafting of condition precedent documents
• Researching information using paper and computerised resources
• General administration, including maintining the team’s e-bible platform
• Assisting with queries from fee earners
• Develop effective working relationships with members of the department and other support and legal departments
• Additional ad hoc duties as and when required

Skills & Experience

Professional qualifications required for the role if applicable

• Knowledge of finance transactions
• Law degree, or equivalent
• High level of IT literacy
• MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint experience
• Excellent research skills
• The ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff is required. This applies to all forms of communication: telephone; written; and face-to-face.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
• Strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
