Salary: £60,000 dependent on skills & experience + bonus scheme

Role description:

Working within the Next Generation Munitions Solution (NGMS) Joint Requirements Capability Cell (JRCC), you will provide commercial leadership across the NGMS contract, ensuring activities are delivered in a coherent, consistent and coordinated manner. Acting as the day-to-day commercial decision maker for Land UK, you will support governance, stakeholder engagement and effective commercial delivery.

You will play a pivotal role in a critical, multi-billion-pound defence contract, where significant investment is shaping the future of defence munitions capability.

Core duties:

• Leading all commercial activities across the NGMS contract, including annual order cycles, contract amendments, engineering tasking and emerging business requirements
• Driving a consistent and collaborative commercial approach across Integrated Delivery Teams, Engineering functions and key MOD stakeholders
• Building effective working relationships with contracting authority, including regular engagement at Abbey Wood and Glascoed, to maximise long-term contract value
• Providing commercial leadership and support to the JRCC, ensuring decisions are accurately recorded, monitored and delivered through the commercial function
• Maintaining clear, compliant and up-to-date contractual arrangements, ensuring obligations, assumptions, dependencies and exclusions are effectively managed
• Supporting NGMS lifecycle governance activities, including LCM gate reviews, implementation of recommendations, RBA approvals and maintenance of the Service Delivery Plan

Essential skills:

• Strong commercial awareness, with proven understanding of defence contracting environments
• Working knowledge of UK MOD contracts and Single Source Procurement Regulations
• Ability to prepare robust business approvals, balancing risk mitigation and commercial performance
• Financially astute, with experience managing contract risk, opportunities and legal considerations
• Ability to ensure compliant Commercial Life Cycle Management (LCM) delivery, proposal approvals, pricing governance and business-winning support
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with proven leadership experience within complex multi-functional environments
