Job Description

We are looking for a design-focused Civil Engineer to join a major UK nuclear project, supporting the delivery of critical reinforced concrete structures and complex engineering solutions. This role is ideally suited to candidates with experience or exposure to civil and structural design activities, including reinforced concrete detailing, anchorage design principles, and the application of Eurocodes within highly regulated engineering environments.

You will work closely with design and detailing teams, providing technical oversight, resolving engineering challenges, and ensuring that design deliverables meet project, safety, and quality requirements. Experience within a design office environment, together with knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, reinforced concrete structures, and industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Civil 3D, would be highly advantageous.

Key experience we're looking for:

• ✅ Design-focused civil/structural engineering background
• ✅ Reinforced concrete design and detailing experience or exposure
• ✅ Understanding of anchorage systems and structural interfaces
• ✅ Knowledge and application of Eurocodes and structural design standards
• ✅ Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015 and design safety requirements
• ✅ Experience using Autodesk Revit and/or Autodesk Civil 3D
• ✅ Strong technical problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 🎓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 🏢Experience within civil engineering design office environments
• 🧱Strong reinforced concrete design and detailing experience essential
• 📐Proficient understanding of Eurocodes and structural design standards
• 📋Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and safety compliance
• 💻Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit
• ⚛️Nuclear sector experience advantageous but not essential
• 🗣️Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
