Director Consulting Services, Data & AI

Are you passionate about turning data and AI into real business value? Would you like to build and lead a team of experts while helping clients develop modern data and AI solutions? We are looking for a Director Consulting Services, Data & AI to strengthen and grow our Data & AI capabilities. In this role, you will combine business understanding, technology expertise and people leadership. You will lead a small and growing team of specialists, work closely with clients to shape solutions and contribute to the development of CGI's own AI capabilities. You can bring either a strong business-oriented or technical background. What matters most is your ability to understand client needs, connect business opportunities with technology and turn ideas into practical solutions.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Build, lead and develop a team of Data & AI experts, including recruiting new team members and supporting their professional growth.
• Work with clients to identify opportunities and develop modern data solutions, particularly in Snowflake environments.
• Shape and support the delivery of AI solutions that create measurable business value.
• Contribute to client engagements, solution development, proposals and sales activities in collaboration with CGI's account and delivery teams.
• Help develop CGI's internal AI capabilities, including the adoption of AI-assisted and agentic approaches across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with CGI's other expert teams, international network and technology partners to bring the right expertise and solutions to our clients.

The role offers an opportunity to influence both the direction of the team and the development of our Data & AI services. Depending on your background and interests, you can contribute more deeply to technical solution development or focus on business-driven solution shaping and expert leadership.

Your future team

You will lead a small and growing team of Data & AI professionals and play an active role in building its capabilities and ways of working. You will collaborate closely with other CGI experts, client teams and our international network. The location of this role is Helsinki. We work in a hybrid model, combining remote work with working at the office. The position requires working at the office several days a week.

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone who combines Data & AI expertise with the ability to work with clients, develop solutions and lead people. We value:

• Strong understanding of data and AI solutions and their applications in business.
• Experience in developing data, analytics or AI solutions in complex business and technology environments.
• Experience in working with clients, shaping solutions, contributing to proposals and supporting sales activities.
• Experience in leading experts or taking responsibility for technical teams, projects or solution development, together with the ability and motivation to take on people leadership responsibilities.
• Understanding of modern cloud-based data platforms, AI technologies and their integration with business systems.
• A clear perspective on how AI and agentic technologies can transform software development practices, business processes and IT operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technology leaders and technical specialists.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and excellent English language skills.

We also appreciate:

• Hands-on experience in designing, developing or implementing data and AI solutions.
• Experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development, AI agents or agentic workflows.
• Previous experience in people management, recruitment or building expert teams.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Finnish language skills.

You may currently be leading a Data & AI team, working as a senior consultant or architect, or taking a leading role in developing data and AI solutions within a client organization.
