The team, position & mission:

As a Data Analyst Consultant, you will support the organization in transforming complex data into actionable business insights through modern reporting and analytics solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams, you will play a key role in designing intuitive dashboards, preparing and modeling data, and enabling self-service reporting across the business.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of enterprise reporting solutions by leveraging Power BI, GCP/BigQuery, and data transformation tools. You will act as a trusted advisor between business and technical teams, ensuring reporting requirements are translated into scalable and impactful data solutions. You will also help drive data literacy by supporting and training end users.

Your key areas of responsibility as Data Analyst Consultant:

• Design and develop intuitive, business-focused dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Source, prepare, transform, and model data using Power Query, M, SQL, and cloud-based data sources.
• Develop KPIs, DAX measures, and calculated metrics to deliver meaningful business insights.
• Connect and optimize reporting solutions using DirectQuery and GCP BigQuery environments.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and gather reporting requirements to support business decision-making.
• Train and support end users, while creating documentation, data definitions, and reporting best practices.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• Proven experience designing and developing dashboards and reporting solutions with Power BI.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power Query, M, DAX, and data modeling.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably GCP and BigQuery.
• Proven experience using DirectQuery to enable real-time reporting and analytics.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with Python for data analysis and transformation.
• Experience collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders and translating requirements into data solutions.
• Fluency in English and Spanish. French is a plus.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Academic and/or professional experience in a biological, life sciences, or related domain.
• Experience supporting data governance, reporting standards, or enterprise BI best practices.
