Senior product designer, new ventures & consumer ux (f/m/x)

Work with HelloFresh in Berlin and its HelloTech organisation — HelloFresh's global technology backbone with more than 1,000 people, building the digital products that power our end-to-end food experience. From meal kits and ready-to-eat meals to specialty offerings like pet food and premium meat and seafood, HelloTech creates the platforms that bring tailored food solutions to millions of customers every month.

About the role: What's in the box

HelloFresh Group is building the next generation of consumer experiences across its portfolio — from discovery and personalisation to shopping and subscription management. The Consumer UX team is at the heart of this work, designing end-to-end experiences that are simple, delightful, and grounded in real customer needs.

We're hiring Senior UX Designers across two squads: one embedded in Good Chop, our premium American meat and seafood subscription brand, and one in our central Consumer UX team working across the broader HelloFresh Group portfolio. Both roles share the same craft bar, strategic expectations, and ways of working — the difference is context and squad focus.

These are full-ownership roles in a startup-paced environment. You'll partner with Product and Engineering on a cross-functional squad — the PM owns the roadmap, you own the UX direction. UX here is a strategic input, not a downstream service.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Consumer Experience Design: Lead design from concept to shipped product, maintaining accountability for the full consumer experience across touchpoints. You hold a high bar for quality at every stage — from early framing through final execution.
• Strategy and Roadmap Influence: Frame problems before they become briefs. Bring evidence-backed consumer insight into squad planning — challenge priorities, surface opportunities, and influence what gets built. You're a strategic partner in roadmap conversations, contributing to direction from the start.
• Craft and Execution: Hold a high personal bar across UI, interaction design, motion, micro-interaction, and UX writing — and raise the standard within your squad. Use animation and motion as intentional tools, not decoration.
• AI-Native Workflow: Use AI across the full workflow — synthesis, discovery, rapid prototyping, design-to-code. A working method that lets you move faster and think sharper.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• Experience: 6+ years in product design, with a proven track record delivering high-quality consumer products end-to-end.
• Consumer Instinct: You've worked on consumer-facing products and understand how real people make decisions — to try something, to stay, to leave. You think about the full customer lifecycle, not just the next feature. Subscription context is a plus.
• Strategic Range: You define the problem before designing the solution. You've pushed back on a brief, reframed a PM's question, or changed a roadmap priority through evidence. You bring design into the strategy conversation because you built the case, not because you were invited.
• Craft Mastery: Exceptional visual and interaction design skills with a high personal bar. Deep focus on hierarchy, motion, micro-interaction, and animation. Figma mastery is non-negotiable. You understand front-end constraints well enough to have credible conversations with engineers.
• High Agency: Proactivity to push for the right solution rather than the convenient one, with conviction in your design decisions and the ability to bring cross-functional partners along.
• Research Fluency: You can frame a research question, run a lightweight study, and translate findings into design direction without needing a researcher to drive the process. You know when to go deeper and how to collaborate with experts.
• AI-Native in Practice: Active use of AI tools in live project work — synthesis, discovery, prototyping, design-to-code. Fluency with tools like Figma AI and Claude is expected. This is how you work, not something you're working towards.
• Communication: You present clearly, facilitate alignment across functions, and can run a workshop as confidently as you can ship a screen. You make the case for your decisions with evidence, not opinion.
