As a Junior Risk Analyst FX & Liquidity Management, you’ll join a high-performing, collaborative team that’s truly focused on the bigger picture and driving the RWEST mission forward. This role will give you a clear overview of our trading activities and plenty of chances to learn from different departments. About the role

• Execute the company-level FX hedging process—analysing exposures and advising hedges to keep RWEST’s risk profile transparent and robust.
• Produce comprehensive weekly and monthly liquidity reports directly supporting RWE Group liquidity steering.
• Continuously enhance our methods, processes, and system frameworks so we stay one step ahead.
• Support the department’s credit risk control function with timely and insightful reporting that drives group wide risk oversight.
• Price and calculate credit exposures to empower future trading activities with top-tier analysis.
• Own connections with Accounting, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Market Risk, and commercial teams.

Job requirements and experience

• Degree (ideally in business, economics, maths, or science) with prior experience in risk management - especially FX and liquidity risk.
• Strong management skills, a reputation for trustworthiness, and a solution-focused attitude.
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of commodity trading and the trade life cycle for both financial and physical instruments.
• Advanced programming skills (SQL, Python or C#) plus strong IT affinity - comfortable translating Risk Management into code.
• Practical, motivated, and comfortable working independently or as part of different teams across RWEST.

Advantageous, but not essential

• First experience in commodity risk regulation, treasury systems, or hedging deal structures.
• German language skills.
