Job Description

Shape the future of marketing with us

As part of Siemens Digital Industries, you will actively drive the digital transformation of the machine-building industry. With our comprehensive portfolio of automation, software, and digital technologies, we help machine builders worldwide become more productive, flexible, and sustainable.

Your mission in our team

You are the strategic marketing partner for the General Machine Building segment. You understand our customers’ business models, buying groups, and challenges, identify market opportunities, and translate them into clear priorities, positioning, and activation approaches. Operational campaign execution is carried out together with specialized execution teams. You set the strategic direction, provide subject-matter input and relevant content, and ensure that activities remain consistently focused on business impact.

The challenges ahead

  • Strategic market ownership: You develop and steer the marketing strategy for General Machine Building, derived from business objectives, market potential, customer problems, and growth priorities.
  • Buyer and buying-group orientation: You analyze the relevant roles, decision-making dynamics, and information needs in complex B2B buying processes and derive differentiated value propositions, messaging frameworks, and customer journeys.
  • Go-to-market and demand strategy: You define target segments, priorities, marketing motions, and strategic campaign briefs along the demand stages. You ensure that demand generation, demand capture, customer marketing, and sales enablement work together effectively.
  • AI-driven marketing transformation: You use AI and automation tools for market and customer analysis, research, hypothesis development, content orchestration, and scalable marketing workflows. You test new approaches systematically and turn effective solutions into reusable processes.
  • Data-driven decision making: You define relevant KPIs, use data to prioritize target groups, topics, and investments, and derive concrete recommendations for Marketing, Sales, and the business. Activity alone is not enough; what matters is the contribution to pipeline, growth, customer retention, and strategic positioning.
  • Translating technology into customer value: You translate our portfolio across automation, Motion & Drives, software, Digital Twin, and Industrial AI into understandable use cases and commercial value for machine builders.
  • Strategic campaign steering: You develop campaign strategy and core messages, provide subject-matter input and, where needed, content building blocks, and collaborate closely with the Demand Center, regional teams, and agencies. Operational campaign execution remains with the specialized execution teams.
  • Sales partnership and enablement: You support Sales as a strategic sparring partner with market insights, value messaging, enablement concepts, and contributions to prioritized customer and growth initiatives.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: You connect Business, Sales, Product Marketing, Portfolio Management, the Demand Center, and the regions, ensuring clear decisions, consistent messaging, and scalable implementation.

What makes your application stand out

  • Several years of B2B marketing experience in a technology-driven, industrial, software, or complex solution environment.
  • Experience in machine building, industrial automation, manufacturing, or digitalization.
  • A proven ability to analyze markets, customer problems, and buying groups and translate them into go-to-market and demand strategies.
  • Practical and thoughtful use of generative AI, copilots, agents, or automation workflows in marketing. What matters is not tool bingo, but a demonstrable impact on productivity and quality.
  • A strong data-driven mindset: you formulate hypotheses, define metrics, interpret data, and make transparent, evidence-based decisions.
  • The ability to translate complex technologies into differentiated, customer-centric value propositions and commercial business outcomes.
  • Experience working with international, cross-functional teams and the ability to create impact without direct authority.
  • Strategic strength combined with pragmatism: you provide direction, contribute robust input where needed, and remain focused on scalability and business impact.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

A major plus if you also bring

  • Experience with ABM, buying-group-oriented marketing, or Forrester-aligned B2B marketing approaches.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics, experimental design, marketing automation, or the design of AI agents and reusable prompt or workflow systems.
  • Experience positioning Digital Twin, Industrial AI, software, or service offerings.
  • Experience with sales enablement and collaboration with global sales organizations.
  • German language skills are an advantage.

This is what we offer you:

  • Scope for Design: The opportunity to actively shape a pioneering topic and contribute your ideas.
  • Exciting Projects: Work on innovative solutions that will shape the industrial world of tomorrow.
  • Development Opportunities: Comprehensive training and development programs that advance you both professionally and personally.
  • Flexible Working: Flexible working hours and hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home up to half your week, with contributions towards home office expenses.
  • Inspiring team: An open corporate culture where collaboration and mutual support are highly valued.
  • Attractive Compensation: A competitive salary package and at least CZK 34,000 to personalize your benefits from categories like Finance: contributions towards pension, life insurance, and/or long-term investment products (DIP), plus an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
  • Wellbeing: Cafeteria system, e-meal vouchers or company canteen, company nursery (Prague and Ostrava), and exclusive employee offers/discounts.
  • Health: Discounted MultiSport card, and access to premium healthcare and crisis support (e.g. psychological counseling).
