As an Advanced AI Engineer/Scientist here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions. You will leverage your expertise in materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields to lead and contribute to critical projects. Your role will involve a combination of technical leadership, research, and development, ensuring that Honeywell Aerospace remains a leader in technological advancements.

In this role, you will impact the future of Honeywell Aerospace by leading the ideation, conceptualization, and prototyping of innovative solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage collective expertise and resources, ensuring that R&D projects adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your contributions will help bring R&D innovations to market, addressing global challenges through innovative solutions.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and deploy advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions that address complex engineering and business challenges.
• Develop Generative AI, Agentic AI, and predictive analytics applications that improve engineering productivity, decision-making, and product development effectiveness.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with Responsible AI principles, cybersecurity requirements, regulatory expectations, and Honeywell AI governance standards.
• Design evaluations experiment, conduct the evaluations, analyze data, prepare reports, and present the results to stakeholders.
• Drive technical innovation through contributions to intellectual property, patent disclosures, technical publications, conference presentations, and industry engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Key skills and qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in software engineering, machine learning, data science, or AI solution development.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in Python.
• Experience designing and deploying AI or Machine Learning applications.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
