Role Summary & Purpose

Reporting to the VP, Global Talent, the Senior Manager, Global Learning & Development is a core member of the HR Centre of Excellence (COE) at Celestica. This role focuses specifically on leading the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of learning and leadership programs globally as well as strategic talent initiatives that directly support Celestica’s broader talent strategy. You will partner across the business to identify needs, build and deploy learning solutions that have a positive impact on employee growth, performance, and engagement.

Detailed Description

Learning & Development Strategy & Solution Design

• Partner with HR Business Partners, client groups, and regional Learning & Development Leads to assess/gather talent development needs, and design learning solutions to drive performance, leadership, career growth, and skill sustainment.
• Develop learning interventions and assets for new training programs and enhance existing programs in support of strategic talent goals and change initiatives.
• Facilitate training and education sessions, workshop, webinars and meetings.
• Manage and enhance Celestica’s existing leadership development programs, including global mentoring and coaching programs.
• Develop, socialize, and implement Leadership Assessment tools aligned with Celestica’s leadership framework and development strategy.
• Develop and maintain L&D design standards and playbook to support regional teams and elevate L&D capabilities across the network.
• Conduct research and apply thought leadership to identify emerging technologies and L&D trends and innovative solutions to build key leadership, functional and technical skills.

Project Management, Change Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Project manage all L&D projects in portfolio, including implementation plans, L&D marketing and communications and reporting.
• Manage deployment and implementation of global learning and leadership programs, including scheduling and socialization of programs pre-launch.
• Partner with COE leads, HR community and other partners to define project goals, timelines, resource requirements, and to provide/obtain guidance on engagement strategies and implementation across the organization and various areas of the business.
• Collaborate with Celestica's HR Information Systems team to ensure clear business requirements around LMS enhancements are transferred into the system design and management of learning assets and assignments.
• Manage vendor relationships to optimize program value and improve impact.
• Provide change strategies for transformational or enterprise-level initiatives requiring training and performance enablement interventions for upskilling or re-skilling of large groups.

L&D Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Measure and report on key L&D metrics, including program efficiency, effectiveness and ROI metrics to assess impact, predict trends and drive continuous improvements.
• Establish and maintain monthly, quarterly L&D dashboards.
• Conduct annual content reviews and refreshes to ensure program content and learning methods are relevant and impactful.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Exceptional consultation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills to identify learning and development needs, develop solutions, and drive adoption of L&D COE practices.
• Solution oriented: ability to problem-solve, convert needs and business requirements into impactful, actionable learning plans, solutions, and strategic talent recommendations.
• Applied Design thinking: proven instructional design skills for all learning modalities.
• Communication skills: excellent written and verbal communication (English), strong presentation and facilitation skills for learning or project management purposes.
• Project management skills: establish, implement L&D project plans and track against milestones.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, fast-paced global environment.
• Data analysis and reporting on L&D metrics, with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google applications.
• Adept at using generative AI tools to streamline workflows, and accelerate content creation.
• Growth mindset with an openness to new ideas and challenging the status quo.

Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range. The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

Salary Range: $125K-175K

Typical Experience

• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years focused on learning and leadership development, organizational development, and/or talent management.
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in program/instructional design and facilitation.
• Extensive project management experience in learning and leadership development initiatives, with a track record of handling large-scale, complex projects.

Typical Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field as asset.
• CSTD designation, or Instructional Design certification an asset.
