Position Summary:

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health and performance of the business. You will lead core accounting activities, including month-end reporting, financial analysis, standard costing, and Accounts Payable, while partnering with site leadership to provide insights that drive informed business decisions. This hands-on role also offers the opportunity to support process improvements and provide guidance to one direct report.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the month-end close and reporting process, including required analysis.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations.
  • Manage Fixed Asset accounting.
  • Handle Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing and payment preparation.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Perform purchase price variance calculations and standard cost updates.
  • Provide financial analysis, including margin and cost analysis, to support business decisions.
  • Analyze production performance, expenses, and unfavorable variances, and support site management with recommendations.
  • Identify cost trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Become a key user of Vizion database reporting.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to one direct report.
  • Contribute to process improvements and other Finance initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems required; experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience considered an asset.
  • Previous supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • CPA designation preferred.

Physical Activities and Other Working Conditions:

Associates working at Corporate sites are required to work in-person according to the Hybrid & Remote Workplace Policy. This role is primarily sedentary and involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Regular use of hands for typing and operating office equipment is required, along with visual focus on screens and documents. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office or remote environment with moderate noise levels. Travel not required.
