Mulesoft architect

Proxiad SEE is an IT consulting and software development company, part of Proxiad Group France. We are also the company behind two software solutions for office work – our workplace management software, Desk Buddy, and our performance management software, GROW.

About the project: In partnership with a major French banking group, we are on a mission to build a team located in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, starting with opening for a MuleSoft Architect.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable, secure integration architectures on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, following API-led connectivity principles (System, Process, and Experience layers).
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical integration designs, solution blueprints, and architecture documentation.
• Define and enforce integration standards, reusable patterns, naming conventions, and best practices across projects.
• Lead API design using RAML or OpenAPI, and manage API lifecycle, versioning, and governance through Anypoint Exchange and API Manager.
• Define security approaches for APIs and integrations, including OAuth 2.0, client ID enforcement, TLS/mTLS, and API policies.
• Guide and mentor MuleSoft developers through code reviews, design sessions, and technical coaching.
• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines for Mule applications (Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar), including automated testing with MUnit.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and error-handling strategies using Anypoint Monitoring and external tools.
• Contribute to or lead a Center for Enablement (C4E) to drive reuse and self-service across client teams.
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients: run workshops, present architecture decisions, and estimate effort for new initiatives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software development or enterprise integration, with at least 3 years in a MuleSoft architect or technical lead role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, and the Anypoint Platform components.
• Proven track record designing API-led architectures in production at enterprise scale.
• Solid knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous and asynchronous, event-driven, batch, pub/sub) and messaging systems such as Anypoint MQ, JMS, or Kafka.
• Experience integrating with common enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, databases, and REST/SOAP web services.
• Good understanding of API security, identity management, and compliance considerations like GDPR.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices for integration projects.
