Senior account executive - public sector

About the role:

Microsoft 365 has become the dominant collaboration platform across Government and Education in Australia. The problem is that it’s inherently driven by the business users. Where information is created, how it’s created, who it gets shared with, how long it remains relevant, and how valuable it is all becomes impossible to manage at scale. Factor AI into the mix, and it can rapidly expose sensitive data and contribute to the rising cost of storage.

It’s a problem all agencies and institutions are looking to solve.

As the Enterprise Account Executive, you are responsible for helping these agencies realise the value of the AvePoint Confidence platform to solve these core problems. You will create, qualify, pitch and close all new revenue from organisations upwards of 2000 employees into Australian Public Sector and Education and manage a portfolio of existing organisations.

Using an account team, it is expected that you will build positive relationships and ensure the successful acquisition of our software to solve our customers’ business problems.

An Enterprise Account Executive’s role is to grow the AvePoint customer base through the development and execution of GTM motions in line with market trends. You will work both directly with and through our channel partners to solve customer problems by leveraging the AvePoint Confidence platform. Additionally, you will be required to maintain (renew) and grow (upsell + cross sell) a group of existing AvePoint customers.

What your day to day will look like:

• Own the full sales cycle: create, qualify, pitch, and close new revenue opportunities with organisations of 2000+ employees.
• Build and nurture executive-level relationships to drive adoption of AvePoint solutions.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with market trends.
• Collaborate with channel partners (SI, VAR, MSPs) to deliver customer value.
• Potentially manage renewals and growth (upsell/cross-sell) for existing accounts.

• 8+ years of SaaS/Cloud solution sales experience.
• Proven success in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Experience selling solutions with channel partners.
• Strong business development and pipeline management skills.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies and processes.
• Executive-level relationship selling experience.
• Accountability, urgency, and data-driven decision-making.
