Reputation risk officer, banking & international, vp - sydney

The Reputation Risk team is a global business function that sits along-side Business Selection & Conflicts within the Client Engagements & Conflicts Office (“CECO”) within Banking. We work across our Banking & International divisions to drive superior business alignment and safeguard the firm against franchise risk. As part of a small, focused team, we work closely with deal and relationship teams and first- and second-line control functions to support consistent, well-informed decision-making in line with Citi’s reputation risk framework.

Responsibilities:

As a Vice President on the Reputation Risk team in APAC, you will be at the heart of Citi's decision-making process for high-stakes transactions. In this high-impact role, you will apply your expertise in risk management and banking to analyze complex deals and provide critical guidance to help manage reputation risk across Citi. This position offers unique exposure to senior leadership across the firm and control functions as you help navigate complex client alignment decisions and franchise risk scenarios and drive technological innovation, directly influencing the firm's strategic direction and risk appetite. A component of this role also involves assisting with enhancements to our core technology platform.

The role suits a proactive and commercially aware individual with prior experience in risk management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and engaging with senior stakeholders across Citi.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the review and assessment of reputation risk referrals across APAC as well as broader support to Banking & International
• Coordinating with business teams and control partners to ensure consistent application of the bank’s reputation risk framework and transparent decision-making
• Preparing materials for reputation risk review forums and meetings and assisting with the documentation of meeting notes and minutes
• Helping to develop and enhance reputation risk processes and procedures, and training to support effective reputation risk awareness and management
• Contributing to reporting, metrics, and analysis on reputation risk trends and emerging issues
• Assisting with regulatory or audit responses as they relate to reputation risk
• Provide broader support to CECO

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Experience:

• Significant experience at a leading financial institution, with a strong background in Investment Banking, Risk Management, Public Policy, Geopolitical Analysis or Legal
• Deep familiarity with a range of corporate and investment banking products, services, and transaction types.
